Beacon Hill Dollhouse WIP

Here is a photo of one of my currently underway commissioned projects. This is a Greenleaf Beacon Hill Dollhouse that I am just doing a build job for a client/friend of mine. It's a straight build job, no painting work wanted on it. It's a food kit that mostly goes together well, but careful attention and instruction following is required to successfully build this. There's a huge amount of parts, and much careful fitting, trimming, and sanding is needed to construct this well. This is NOT a kit for beginner's. It also does help to have woodworking experience, and equipment available as it makes the job much more painless. I am far from a novice modelbuilder, and have actually built a few architectural models before but this is my first actual wooden dollhouse build.

 All that said, it is a fun kit, that really does finish out well so long as care is taken with it. There is huge possibilities that can be done with this kit, and I'd highly recommend it if ever anyone is thinking of challenging themselves with it.

 This shot is near to the beginning of this project for me. This shot was taken back in the early March 2014 timeframe. This is the project's progress at about a week's worth of effort.
